Sidecar VFX creates cloud-based visual effects departments for independent film and television productions. We build a project-specific team and scalable pipeline around the work, keeping senior creative leadership close to the director from early planning and on-set supervision through to final delivery.
Our model offers a practical alternative for productions that need high-quality visual effects without handing creative control to a large external facility. Artists, computing power and technical support are selected specifically for each production, while the infrastructure expands and contracts as demand changes.
Founded by VFX Supervisor Jon Park, Producer Shoaib Vali and Head of Technology Allar Kaasik, Sidecar VFX brings creative, production and technical expertise together as one embedded team.
Our hybrid AI and VFX pipeline combines established visual-effects craft with carefully selected generative tools. This allows us to explore ideas faster, use artists’ time more effectively and scale each department around the needs of the production.
The result is a focused, flexible studio model with the creative ambition and technical capability of a larger facility—without carrying the same permanent overhead.

Jon Park
Co-Founder & VFX Supervisor
Jon is a VFX Supervisor whose credits include Foundation, Nautilus, The Rig, Ponies, The Nevers and Halo. His career includes work with Flawless AI, Jellyfish Pictures & MPC and experience building cloud-based VFX teams directly inside production companies.
Shoaib Vali
Co-Founder & Head of Production
Shoaib is a VFX and post-production producer whose credits include Argylle, Salvable and 1917. His experience spans production, post-production and emerging AI filmmaking technology.
Allar Kaasik
Co-Founder & Head of Technology
Allar is a VFX Supervisor and technologist with a background in compositing, machine learning and production education. He spent eight years teaching at Escape Studios before joining Flawless AI, where he has worked with AI-driven filmmaking technology. His screen credits include Dark Tide and Zarrar.
